HMQS 2010 Show Theme: "Every Quilt Has a Story!"

HMQS is pleased to announce the 2010 theme – "Every Quilt Has a Story”! The 2010 theme opens up images of quilts as amazing and different as the quilters who participate at HMQS. Our quilt competition theme category will give all quilters an avenue to create truly unique and special quilts, each with “their own story!”

HMQS 2010 Show Charity: PJ’s Forgotten Children

In keeping with the aspiration to have a charitable purpose benefit from HMQS each year, the show theme was inspired by our desire to give back to the children of our local community. HMQS has teamed up with PJ’s Forgotten Children—the official HMQS 2010 show charity—to help children in need right here in our area. PJ’s Forgotten Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing comfort, joy and dignity to children whose parents suffer from mental illness. These children often suffer the “invisible” effects of mental illness. We know every child has a story, and we want to help create as many happy endings as we can! 100% of the donations will be used for backpacks, school supplies and Christmas gifts for these children in 2010.

Please help us as we assist PJ’s Forgotten Children in this great cause. Contributions can be submitted with your class registration, on site at the show in May or mailed to Ann Collet, HMQS Director, 869 East 725 South, Centerville, UT 84014. Donations may be made with cash, check or money order. Make payment to HMQS.
